Between 2012 and 2014 the Bundesverband Deutscher Inkasso-Unternehmen (BDIU), the Credit Services Association (CSA), the Inkassoverband Österreich (IVÖ), the Polski Zwi?zek Windykacji (PZW) and the Deutsche Inkasso Akademie (DIA) have successfully finished a Leonardo Partnership project funded by the European Commission.

As the result of the project the partners developed a curriculum for a vocational training module on the impact of new European data protection regulation within the claims management and debt collecting sector.

This curriculum is intended to train employees in the European claims management and debt collection sector to receive the necessary qualification to be able to understand, communicate and apply the complex regulations and numerous changes brought about by the new European regulation on data protection.

Through its cooperation with the IACC (FENCA committee) and ACA International in the United States of America, FENCA is part of a worldwide sectoral network of credit management, debt collection and debt purchase companies.
