Discover what lies behind the doors of the former Heineken Brewery in Amsterdam and learn everything on this tour about the world´s favorite beer. The brewery was founded in Amsterdam in 1864 and until today, Heineken is still one of the three largest beer producers in the world.

Discover The Netherlands

Thursday 23th June

The culture of the Netherlands is so diverse. On this day excursion we will discover traditional Dutch culture on a private countryside tour. Learn how Gouda cheese and wooden shoes are made and learn all about the famous wind mills.

At 9am a minibus will pick you up and drive you to the cheese farm Clara Maria in Amstelveen. At the farm you will get a demonstration of wooden shoe making, and you will get to taste of farm made Gouda cheese, and if you like you can even feed the cows!

After visiting the cheese farm you will make a scenic drive of about an hour through the lush green countryside with dikes and canal, on your way to “Kinderdijk’’. Kinderdijk belongs to UNESCO World Heritage.
Discover the splendid windmills of Kinderdijk to see how the Dutch have been controlling the waters for over 1000 years. It’s a unique spectacle!

After this day full of Dutch culture and history, you will be back at the hotel at 4pm.

Dinner at the Royal Tropical Institute

Thursday 23th June

We will meet at 7:30pm at the pier of the Mövenpick Hotel. Follow the signs in the Hotel.
Here we will get on board on the Boat, wich brings us to the dinner location.
Accompanied by drinks and delicious dutch snacks, we are happy to show you the canals of Amsterdam.

After the boat cruise we will arrive at the Royal Tropical Institute. Here in the Marble Hall,
refined with over twelve different types of marble, we look forward to a grand dinner in a seated form.
With a 3-course menu and a great supporting program, we look forward to an unforgettable evening with new and old friends.

From 10:30pm on, the first buss will bring us back to the Mövenpick Hotel.

Biking Tour

Did you know, that in Amsterdam are actually more bikes that people?
Riding a bike is an essential Amsterdam experience. Taking a guided cycle tour is a great way to discover the city and can be quite an adventure.
Exploring the city on a bike lets you see more in a day, while blending in with the locals at the same time.

Dinner at d’Vijff Vlieghen

This traditional dutch Restaurant called, d’Vijff Vlieghen (or the Five Flies restaurant), is known as a must do when in Amsterdam.
When entering the restaurant, it feels like stepping back in to time.

In the restaurant 4 original etchings of Rembrandt can be admired.
