FENCA Members Meetin in Berlin!
In Spring 2017, FENCA’s Board of Directors called in an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to present a roadmap for the development of a pan-European Code of Conduct for GDPR to its members.
The debt collection sector in Europe must comply with GDPR by 25 May 2018, when the new regulation will be applicable in all EU states. FENCA’s intention is to create by that date a binding data protection framework as defined in article 40 of the GDPR, which shall apply to the workflow and process within debt collection agencies in Europe. The workflows and processes.
The project management and the six-step working plan received high consensus among all FENCA members. FENCA’s members had previously welcomed the board’s initiative presented at the Annual General Meeting in September 2016 during the FENCA World Congress in Berlin.
The EGM took place in parallel to the BDIU Congress 2017 in Munich. Members of FENCA mingled among the BDIU members for the warm-up of their annual conference.
